Ola Jordan has had to pull out of The Jump after being injured during training.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional has been pictured on crutches wearing a leg brace after injuring her leg while preparing to take part in the Channel 4 winter sports-themed reality show which begins in January.

She apparently suffered a minor fall during a training run on an indoor slope.

A spokesman for Channel 4 confirmed: “Unfortunately Ola can no longer take part in The Jump due to injury.”

Ola is also unlikely to be taking part in the group dance in the upcoming final of BBC show Strictly this weekend. She had been contracted to appear until the end of the series.

It is the first injury suffered in the second series of The Jump, the first series of which was marked by a series of mishaps among contestants.

Socialite Henry Conway broke a bone in his hand, while Melinda Messenger withdrew as a result of concussion suffered on the bobsleigh track. Two of the finalists, Sir Steve Redgrave and comedian Marcus Brigstocke, were also unable to complete the finale after they too were hurt.
