Members of a Muslim group visited a village to speak about their religion and work as part of a tour to mark the foundation’s 100th year.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community ran an exhibition in North Weald Village Hall on Saturday.
Karim Hayat, a member of the group, said: “We’re going around different villages promoting peace and just removing any misconceptions regarding Islam.
“You hear some negative things from the media and we just wanted to show we’re not one of those minority groups and we’re part of this country.”
He said about 50 people visited the exhibition and spoke to members of the group about its charity work and values.
