The freedom of a town has been given to two people who have helped improve young people services.
Elaine Fletcher and Ken Stanger were both granted the Freedom of Waltham Abbey after a meeting of the town’s council.
Mrs Fletcher’s was formally presenting her with a framed citation for her commitment to Waltham Abbey Youth 2000, a charity based in the town providing leisure facilities and counselling for young people.
Mr Stanger was awrded the honour for his continued contribution and service to youngsters through his work with the Scouts in Waltham Abbey.
