The next stage of multi-million pound cycling scheme mini Holland will be launched in the Walthamstow Village area, just weeks after a trial divided the community.
Waltham Forest Council won £30million from Transport for London to improve roads for those travelling by bike or on foot last year.
A trial which took place in October split opinions in Walthamstow as roads were re-organised with some being made one-way and others being blocked off to traffic.
A second stage consultation will begin at the end of this month, with paperwork being delivered to every house in the area.
The council’s Traffic Team has promised to to ensure everyone gets a chance to have their say this time around, following previous complaints about a lack of consultation.
Firm proposals on how the scheme can be implemented will be announced in the documents.
The consultation will run until December 29.
Earlier this month the council ran four workshops in the area.
Residents joined councillors and officers to study the results of the first trial.
Councillor Clyde Loakes, deputy leader and cabinet member for environment, said: “We are keen to design a scheme that really works for residents and businesses in Walthamstow Village.”
