One lane of the M11 is closed after a car caught fire on the motorway.
Firefighters tackled the blaze from 10.18am this morning (February 1) on the southbound carriageway between junction seven at Hastingwood and junction six near Epping for the M11.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames by 10.35am.
The incident is still causing delays, with delays of 10 minutes while the hard shoulder and one lane are closed.
The Highways Agency expects ‘normal traffic conditions’ to return by 11.45am.
