A motorway car fire spread to a grass verge after the vehicle burst into flames.
Three fire crews were called to the blaze at 1.34pm today (July 21), on the M11 near Loughton, between junctions five and six.
The car, which was on the hard shoulder, was alight and the flames had spread to the grass verge.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by 2.02pm.
