Lanes were closed on the M25 after a car burst into flames on the motorway.
Fire crews were called to a section of the road near Epping at around 4.15pm yesterday afternoon (Friday, August 11) to respond to the incident.
Firefighters worked with highways officials to ensure appropriate lane closures were in place and were able to extinguish the fire by 4.44pm.
The fire was believed to have been caused by a fault in the car's engine.
The incident was attended by three Essex Fire and Rescue Service fire engines from Epping, Harlow and Brentwood stations.
