A SPECIAL Muslim-Christian debate is set to take place at Waltham Forest Town Hall.
Entitled “Women in marriage: the Quran vs the Bible”, two speakers, one Muslim, one Christian, will confront each other on the topic.
The event will be hosted by the Muslim Debate Initiative and will feature Canadian visiting speaker Dr Tabassum Hussain, who will give the Muslim perspective.
Beth Grove, a member of Christians Confronting Islam (CCi), will offer a Christian point of view.
All speakers will be female but the debate will be co-moderated by Abdullah Andalusi, of the MDI, and another moderator provided by the CCi.
The debate will take place on March 5 in the council chamber between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
