A school has quickly followed its best ever A-level results with a record-breaking performance by GCSE students, according to the headteacher.
Overall figures for Woodbrige High School have not yet been released, but Andrew Beaumont inists they are “the best yet”.
In a statement he said: “Students are to be congratulated on their GCSE results at Woodbridge High School.
“We continue to achieve grades above the national average.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for their hard work and the parents for their continued support.”
Pupils who did well include Rachel Malbon, who got nine As, and a B, and wants to become a marine biologist or a vet.
Hannah Smith, who got four As, three Bs and a C, is staying on at Woodbridge High to study English Literature, History, Economics and Drama.
Dominic Ekwalla, who wants to be a sports journalist, got an A, three Bs and three Cs and is staying to study Maths, Economics, English Language and Religious Education.
