A MINICAB driver from Ilford has appeared at the Old Bailey charged with murdering a homeless man, it has been reported.

Imran Raja, 38, of Dellow Close, is accused of murder, manslaughter and causing death by dangerous driving after allegedly knocking down Robert Scott in Mayfair last year, according to the Press Association.

Mr Scott was hit in Old Burlington Street in November and is believed to have been about 50 when he died.

Raja was remanded in custody and will face trial in May.
