ARSENE Wenger has tipped Gunners striker Eduardo to return to his scintillating best as he prepares to make his return after an eight-month injury lay-off.
The Croatia international suffered an horrific double fracture of his leg and dislocation of his ankle under a challenge from Birmingham City's Martin Taylor back in February and it was feared he may never play again.
But after an incredible swift recovery, Eduardo is set to make his comeback in 'three weeks' according to Wenger, and the Frenchman believes the forward has time on his side to make a full recovery.
"There is no reason why he can't be as good as before," said Wenger ahead of Arsenal's trip to West Ham on Sunday.
"He is a very young boy and when you have that kind of injury before the age of 25 you recover and progress normally. That is what the statistics say.
"[If you are older] when you have that kind of injury, it is bye bye to your career. The luck we have is that he's very young."
