John Munro will return to the Paralympics sitting volleyball court for the final time this afternoon as Great Britain aim to finish London 2012 on a high by securing a seventh-place finish.

The Leytonstone player’s team’s hopes of being involved in the play-off for fifth and sixth place were ended last night after they were beaten in straight sets by Brazil, meaning they now take on China at 4pm at the ExCel Arena in the lesser classification match.

Having produced a fine performance against reigning champions Iran in Wednesday’s quarter-final, Britain struggled to rediscover that level of intensity against the Bazilians and went down 25-20, 25-16 and 25-15.

Captain Rob Richardson said afterwards: "We put a lot into the game last night [against Iran] but we can't put tonight's performance down to tiredness. We didn't play to our capabilities.

"This was a match we felt we could get a good result. Tomorrow's game is a must-win for us so we need to bounce back and fight for every point."
