DESPITE seeing his side go another season without a trophy Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claims he wont be spending big this summer.
The Gunners boss, who has stated that he plans to keep the majority of his squad together and is still hoping to persuade Mathieu Flamini to remain at the Emirates Stadium, claims he will only be making minor tweaks.
"We have only one player who is free," Wenger told Setanta Sports. "Mathieu Flamini can decide where he wants to go.
"We want him to stay, he wants to stay and we have made him an offer. It's as simple as that.
"All the other players cannot decide about their future. If a club wants to buy, they must call us and they will get the deserved answer.
"How many signings will I make? Not many. Not many and we have a bit of money to spend but not as much as people think.
"We have to. We're in a period of course of crisis and nobody knows the consequences it will have on the game and on football.
"We have to be cautious and the first target is to keep this team together and strengthen it in an intelligent way."
