JABO Ibehre is hoping a positive return to action will help kick-start his stop-start season.
The 25-year-old frontman, who had been out for a month with an Achilles injury, came off the bench to snatch a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser against Southend on Saturday.
And Ibehre is now looking to be involved in a successful run-in to the campaign.
He said: "I couldn't have hoped for it to go any better on Saturday, especially to get such an important goal against one of our big rivals.
"It has been a long old month sitting out again, but I've always stayed positive and I'm glad I'm feeling good again now.
"Hopefully I will see a bit of a change in my luck, because it just feels that I can never get going as I seem to pick up one injury after another. Mentally though I'm very strong and really hungry at the moment and I am itching to play as much as possible.
"I'm certainly focused in playing my part in hopefully helping the club have a real crack at promotion."
The striker is now hoping to be more involved at Tranmere.
He added: "I want to play in every game and hopefully I will get a chance to play a part on Saturday.
"The spirit in the camp is good at the moment and we will go into the match on a high after denying Southend the win in the fashion we did. We know, though, that they are on good run, but then there is never an easy game in football.
"If you don't perform on the day anyone can beat you, so we will need to go there focused and hopefully we can get the result on the day."
