AFTER another injury-blighted season, Orient striker Jabo Ibehre is desperate to return after more than three months out with knee trouble, writes Peter King.
The 22-year-old, who has been cursed by a string of problems, played 45 minutes of the reserves' 1-1 draw with Rushden on Tuesday and hopes to be involved against Cheltenham.
He said: "I'm at a vital stage, because I still have some soreness and we don't want to rush things. I want to get back and enjoy my football again.
"Hopefully from now until the end of the season I can come back strongly and get a few goals. I just seem to have been really unlucky with injuries and I hope that this will be the last .
"The manager showed a lot of faith in me in the summer when he gave me a two-year contract and hopefully I can repay him."
Midfielder David Hunt joined League Two rivals Northampton before the transfer window closed today.
Orient boss Martin Ling said: "This move helps to clear the decks ready for next season."
The O's youth team crashed to a 2-1 Merit League defeat at Brentford on Saturday, despite a free-kick goal from Denny Webb.
