ORIENT striker Jabo Ibehre has declared himself fit for a return to first team action, writes Peter King.
The 22-year-old frontman came through his second full 90 minutes for the reserves this week and believes that he has finally recovered from his long-running knee injury. He said: "It has been a frustrating time and a real test of character, because I've had so many problems with injury over the last few seasons.
"But I feel really good and have had no reaction with the knee during the last couple of matches and in training.
"I can't wait to be involved with the first team again, although it is up to the manager when he feels it is right to put me in as he may not want to rush me back too soon.
"But I'm itching to get going and I feel in really good shape. I want to start scoring goals again and prove to people that I can get back to being the player I was."
