West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis will not join Queens Park Rangers on loan as he would become the second Hammer to make the move in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old had been expected to join the R's on loan until the end of the season with Mauro Zarate, currently on loan at Loftus Road, returning to Upton Park.
However, it is understood the Premier League would block the move as loan deals must run from window to window, meaning Zarate cannot return to West Ham and subsequently Jarvis cannot join Harry Redknapp's side.
