West Ham are eyeing up a sensational move for Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata.
El Confidencial reported the Hammers are interested in making a swoop for the 28-year-old international after making an enquiry to the Manchester club.
With the appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager, who sold Mata to United from Chelsea in January 2014 for £37.1m, it appears the Spanish international is set to part ways with the Portuguese coach once again.
However, the east London club will face stiff competition from Valencia who are keen to bring the midfielder back to the club he left for Chelsea in 2011.
It was reported the Hammers want a prolific striker brought to the club and are focusing their transfer budget around that but do not want to miss the opportunity to add flair to their attack with Mata.
