HAMMERS defender Anton Ferdinand looks set to complete his move to Sunderland after undergoing a medical at the Stadium of Light this morning.
Black Cats boss Roy Keane admitted he expects the deal to be pushed through today after having an offer - thought to be in the region of £8million - accepted by West Ham.
"Anton is up this morning for a medical, we're looking to tie it up on Tuesday," Keane said.
"I met him last week and it went well. He will be a good addition to our squad and it will keep people on their toes."
Irons manager Alan Curbishley revealed the transfer was taken out of his hands by the board, who stepped in and allowed Ferdinand to talk to Sunderland.
"He's had a slight hamstring strain so it would be unfair to throw him straight in," added Keane.
"There is an international break coming up so it would give him a chance to train with us for two weeks."
