Then and Now: Chingford Hatch level crossing
A rural scene of the Chingford Hatch level crossing viewed from Hatch Lane from c1935. The gates were installed in 1873 when the train line went to Chingford and they remained until 1971 when a new underpass and pedestrian walkway was built.
