JACKSON, Alan Former Head of Leisure Services Department, Harlow District Council, retiring in 1990. Lived at Woodhill, Harlow for 45 years. Died peacefully with family around him on 11th April 2019 in the care of Wetherby Manor in his native Yorkshire, aged 91. Beloved husband of the late Joyce and dad of the late Neil. Treasured and much loved uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, mentor, friend and neighbour to many. Funeral service to be held at St James' Parish Church, Church Street, Wetherby LS22 6LP on 7th May 2019 at 2pm followed by cremation at Harrogate, and afterwards at St James' Parish Church Centre. Flowers may be sent to Pools Funeral Directors, St James Street, Wetherby LS22 6RS Tel. 01937 587284. Donations may be made if desired to Wetherby In Bloom, a local charity, and a plate will be provided. "If you wish to be happy forever make a garden"
