BRUNI, Laura, Laura Bruni passed away on 4th November 2010 at the age of 46. For over three years she fought a courageous battle against cancer. She died peacefully at home. She leaves behind her father David, her two sisters Fiona and Alice, brother Steve and her partner Andrew. She will be greatly missed. Laura lived most of her adult life in Walthamstow and many people will remember her in the area, particularly in the local Labour Party, of which she was the constituency secretary for many years. She stood for Parliament as the Labour Candidate for Colchester in 2005 and fought a strong campaign to be adopted as the candidate in Walthamstow for 2010, before illness forced her to withdraw. Those who knew her will remember her as a women of personal integrity with a strong sense of social justice. She was motivated in her political career by a desire to help others and to be of public service. Because of her strong connections with the area, the funeral service will be held at St John's Church, Church Lane, Leytonstone, E11 at 12.30pm on Wednesday 24th November 2010 followed by interment at the City of London Cemetery, Aldersbrook Road, Manor Park E12. Family flowers only donations in lieu for St David's Foundation Hospice Care may be sent to Cambrian House, St John's Road, Newport, NP19 8RG
