MEMBERS of a Royal British Legion club are calling on young and old to remember the town’s war dead over the Remembrance Day weekend.
The Legion’s Epping branch will stage a dedication of the garden of remembrance at the town’s war memorial on Friday November 9 at 10.45am.
This will be followed by a service beside the Commonwealth war graves at Epping cemetery at 11.30am.
The annual Remembrance Day parade will set off from the Civic Offices, in the High Street, shortly after 2pm on Sunday November 11.
It will proceed to the war memorial, led by the Epping Forest Pipe Band, where a wreath-laying ceremony will take place.
The parade will then continue to St John’s Church, where a service will begin at 3pm. Refreshments will be served in Epping Hall from 4pm.
