A MAN has been charged over the fatal stabbing of a motorist in 2005.
Robert Darby, 42, died after being knifed in the chest in Perth Road, Gants Hill.
It is believed Mr Darby had stopped his black BMW in the street and had been in a dispute with another motorist.
Jason Moore, 42, was arrested in connection with the incident earlier this month and police said today they had now charged him with murder.
Mr Moore, of no fixed abode, will appear at Redbridge Magistrates Court on Monday (October 29).
Mr Darby, who lived in Byng Street, Poplar, was stabbed at around 12 noon on August 24.
He was rushed to hospital but died of his wound the next day.
