A GANG kidnapped a man and took him on a terrifying joyride after he disturbed them as they ransacked his home.
The 23-year-old arrived at his house in the The Copse, Chingford, in the early hours to discover four men had broken in.
They then forced him into the leg area of the front passenger seat of his Volkswagen Polo and drove around the area.
The car was eventually driven back to the scene of the break-in and the gang made their victim sit in his hallway as they gathered up valuables, before using his car as a getaway vehicle.
After waiting ten minutes, the man used a nearby phone box to call his parents, who alerted police.
The stolen car has yet to be found.
