MUSIC inspired a fundraiser to run a half marathon for a children's charity.
Simon Perlaki, 42, of Chingford Lane, Woodford Green, ran the 13-mile course around London in two hours on Sunday.
Along with friend Ed Keeble, he raised around £700 for Coram, the UK's first and oldest children's charity.
He said: "It was a little tough going.
"Over the years a lot of my friends and family have gone on to have children and it got me thinking how there are a lot of children who have a tough life and I wanted to raise money to help.
"I love the work Coram do."
The Run to the Beat half marathon course included 11 stages in central London, with musicians and singers playing live along the route.
Acts included DJ Fresh, Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates and Bobby Friction.
