A GANG of men broke into a house and sprayed its occupants with a pepper spray-like irritant.

It happened in Markhouse Avenue, Walthamstow, at 1.50am today (Tuesday October 30).

Three men used the spray after demanding the house's occupants hand over their possessions.

The Met has described its suspects as three white men aged between 25 to 35 years old, possibly of Eastern European origin.

The force is appealing for witnesses and information but has not released further information about what happened or if anything was stolen.
