A COMMUNITY-run library has joined Twitter as it seeks to expand its membership. South Chingford Community Library already has 154 followers on the social networking site since sending its first tweet on October 18, and has more than 125 members at the library itself. Though it is closed this week for building works, the library in Chingford Mount Road will reopen on November 7 and plans to run 'knit and natter' sessions on Thursday mornings from 10am. The library, which is entirely run by volunteers, opened in April 2012 after the closure of the South Chingford library in Hall Lane in December 2011. It is now open three days a week between 10am and 4pm - Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and boasts a range of around 8,000 books. To follow the library online please search @E4library.
