A WOMAN who was stabbed in the torso during a violent incident which left another man dead has been released from hospital.

The 25-year-old was one of three people knifed at a house in Queens Road, Walthamstow, just after 9pm on Sunday evening (October 28).

A 46-year-old man was stabbed in the throat and died while a 39-year-old suffered serious injuries.

The dead man has not been formally identified by police but media in Mauritius have named him as a father-of-five who worked as a driver.

He reportedly moved from Mauritius to the UK with his family in 2003.

The Guardian understands all three people stabbed in the incident lived together and are related.

The 39-year-old has been arrested by police on suspicion of murder but he has not been charged.

He remains in hospital under police guard.

The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a "serious" condition after the incident but is now recovering.

Police initially said the dead man was 36-years-old but he has now been identified as being aged 46.
