A PUB will celebrate its reopening after hundreds of thousands of pounds was spent on a refurbishment.
The George in High Road, South Woodford will reopen on November 8 after shutting its doors on October 28 for a refurbishment.
The pub will have a new menu, greater variety of drinks and a newer, fresher look.
Stephen O’Hallaron, manager of the George said: "At the heart of the George’s offer is a traditional pub that caters for both drinkers and diners and the refurbishment will enhance and improve both these areas.
"We have invited the Mayor of Redbridge to the opening of the George so it would be great if he could come along and raise a glass in celebration to the pub’s new-look.
"The George has always been a popular pub in South Woodford and the team and I are hoping that the investment in the pub will encourage even more people to visit us."
The celebration kicks off at 5pm.
Stonegate Pub Company declined to reveal how much the refurbishment cost.
