A SINGER-SONGWRITER who seeks inspiration from where she lives is about to release her first single.
Liza Finn, 29, of Grosvenor Road in Wanstead, releases her first single, 'Home', on Thursday.
She said: “I moved around for about five years, living in different towns and houses – not really belonging anywhere.
“The song is as much about self-discovery as finding a sense of belonging.”
Now settled in Wanstead Miss Finn uses what she sees happening outside her home and in the high street for her song ideas.
She added: “Wanstead has got such a lovely community and I just love all the independent shops.
“I am a bit nosy and get a lot of my inspiration from the people I meet and see in the high street.”
Inspired by female singer-songwriters such as Carole King, Susan Vega and Joni Mitchell, Miss Finn will begin recording her album in January, which will be released later in the year.
'Home' will be available to buy on iTunes from Thursday.
