A MAN who was found stabbed to death on a petrol station forecourt has been named.
Although the man is yet to be formally identified, he has been named as Thomas Albert Cudjoe, 29, of Ilford.
Emergency services attended the Shell garage next to the Bell pub on Ley Street, Ilford, at around 3.15am on Saturday and found Mr Cudjoe suffering with stab wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem at East Ham Mortuary yesterday gave his cause of death as stab wounds to the chest and legs.
Although no arrests have been made, police have recovered a blue Ford Focus with the registration EJ57 OED from the scene.
Investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector John Sandlin, of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command unit, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who saw a blue Ford Focus in the Ilford area on Friday, 2 November, or in the early hours of Saturday morning.
"I also wish to speak with anyone who had been in The Bell pub that evening as well as anyone who saw the altercation at the Shell petrol station."
Anyone with information should call police on 020 8345 3865 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
