SKATEBOARDERS and BMX riders tried out their moves on temporary ramps set up in the absence of a permanent park.
About 40 youngsters used the equipment at Roding Valley High School in Alderton Hill, Loughton on Friday.
The event was organised by Loughton Town Council, which has set aside £43,000 towards a permanent skate park, but has been unable to find a space for it so far.
Town clerk Enid Walsh said: “It was a lower turn-out than in previous years.
“We’ve been trying to get somewhere for a permanent skate park for so long that I think a lot of the youngsters who came to our first three events have got jobs.”
The event was funded with a £500 grant from Epping Forest District Council.
