LOW lying land around the River Roding remains at risk of flooding following heavy rain.
An Environment Agency flood alert remains in place for the middle River Roding area, including Abridge, Loughton and Buckhurst Hill, following heavy rain.
A statement released by the agency this morning said river levels remained high in the Abridge area but were slowly beginning to fall.
It said: "The river is still out of its banks in places and could cause flooding to low lying land but we are not expecting any property flooding.
"A mainly dry day is expected today but there is a chance of a few light showers."
The agency is expected to release a further update this afternoon.
