TWO men have been arrested over the fatal stabbing of a man who was found on a petrol station forecourt.

Thomas Cudjoe, 29, of Ilford, was stabbed in the chest and legs and found on the forecourt of the Shell garage next to the Bell pub in Ley Street, Ilford in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency services attended at around 3.15am, but Mr Cudjoe was pronounced dead at the scene.

A blue Ford Focus was recovered near to the scene and detectives are keen to trace anyone who may have seen it around the time of the stabbing.

DCI John Sandlin, from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command unit, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who saw a blue Ford Focus, registration number EJ57 OED, in the Ilford area on Friday, 2 November, or in the early hours of Saturday morning.

"I also wish to speak with anyone who had been in The Bell pub that evening as well as anyone who saw the altercation at the Shell petrol station."

A post mortem held at East Ham Mortuary on Sunday gave cause of death as stab wounds to the chest and legs.

The men aged 24 and 22, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder.

They are both in custody at separate east London police stations.
