A POET is pairing up with her daughter to present a two-woman reading of her latest work.
Renfrewshire-based writer Mary Thomson will take to the stage in Loughton Methodist Church's newly-opened LifeWorks building in the High Road, Loughton.
She will be joined by her daughter, actress Cathy Sara, who is married to the church's minister Reverend Tony Morley.
The event will take place on Wednesday November 14 at 7.30pm and will see the duo read from A Kindness of Women, a collection of poems exploring six decades of a woman's life.
Tickets for the reading are £7.50.
Mary Thomson has published four collections of poems and has exhibited in the Scottish Poetry Library and at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
The poet will also host a writing workshop on Thursday November 15 from 10am to 12pm at LifeWorks. Tickets are £5, booking is essential and all levels are welcome. Participants should bring an A4 pad and pen.
