IMPROVEMENTS at a lake have been completed after months of hard work by volunteers.
People gave up their time to construct two angling platforms and a boardwalk at Connaught Waters in Rangers Road, Chingford.
Plants have also been placed in the lake to improve the habitat and protected with temporary fencing from birds and dogs until they are established.
Volunteer Development Officer, Martin Whitfield, said: "Those involved worked incredibly hard and they should feel very proud of themselves for what they have managed to achieve in such a short time."
Other improvements, which were financed through the Heritage Lottery Fund, also included more seating and resurfacing of a carpark.
