Curator Carol Naylor is hosting a walking tour of the current exhibition at the renovated William Morris Gallery – Everyday Encounters.
The show is a response by members of The Society of Designer Craftsmen to William Morris’ quote about household objects having to be beautiful or useful. Carol will assess how they have done either or both.
The talk takes place on November 9 at 3pm, and there is a drop-in craft workshop led by the society’s makers, suitable for all ages on November 24 at noon to 3pm.
- Everyday Encounters is at the William Morris Gallery, Lloyd Park, Forest Road, Walthamstow until February 3. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm. Details: www.wmgallery.org.uk
