A TEENAGED songwriter is just one step away from performing at one of London's biggest venues.
Anna Wells, of The Plain, Epping, has been composing her own songs since taking up the piano four years ago.
Now 15, Anna - a pupil of Trinity Catholic High School in Woodford Green - has made it through to the area final of singing contest Open Mic UK.
She impressed judges in a live show at Highlight Comedy Club in Watford by performing her own composition Love Isn't Just a Game.
Dad David, 45, said Anna had only three minutes in the spotlight to show off her skills.
He added: "She's a bit surprised - it all happened so quickly. But she's really pleased."
Anna will now compete in front of a 600-strong crowd in Hayes, Middlesex on November 18 - the last hurdle before January's grand final in The O2, London, where she stands a chance of winning £5,000.
