VOLUNTEERS are needed to help count waterbirds in Wanstead Park.
The Wren Wildlife and Conservation Group monitor population numbers on a monthly basis during the winter months and will be out counting on November 18.
Anyone interested in helping out should meet outside the refreshment kiosk in the park at 10am.
The count will last for two hours.
Wren Wildlife and Conservation Group chairman Tim Harris said: "The numbers will be fed into a national database which will give us an indication of how the birds are doing on the breeding grounds of Europe and Scandinavia.
"People will be helping complete a tiny part of a massive jigsaw."
