A SCHOOL given notice to improve by government inspectors is making good progress, according to a report published this week.
Ofsted inspector Stephen Abbott said after his visit to The Alderton Junior School in Alderton Hall Lane, Loughton, last month that standards in English and maths were now average.
The school was criticised for poor teaching of maths and lower than expected exam results in the subject after its last Ofsted inspection in January.
