PRIDE OF SEVEN KINGS SETS SIGHTS ON THE BOARDROOM

It’s another year, it’s another series. The BBC’s Young Apprentice returned back to our screens with a bang on November 1st and along with it 12 aspiring candidates, competing against each other, battling in a bid to win a £25,000 investment in their business.

Ilford’s very own Navdeep Bual, 16, is one of the budding candidates selected for her determination and business acumen. Navdeep stated: “I don’t need a strategy to win the Young Apprentice; I think I can just go on it.” The confident former head girl rose to the occasion in task one of selling second hand clothes at a profit and group ‘Platinum’ sailed through successfully to next week.

There is no doubt that the Seven Kings Student will prove herself as she is no stranger to success.  In August, she received 11 A*s in her GCSEs and is currently studying for A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Philosophy, Politics and Maths. She often attends Model United Nations conferences and was the UK’s Young Ambassador for the Global Campaign for Education. In an interview she mentioned: “A lot of people mistake confidence for arrogance but that’s not the case here.”

Seven Kings High School’s Deputy Head Teacher, Clive Rosewell said of Navdeep: “She’s a high-flier who is destined for great things in life.” He also described how the school community is rooting for the very committed student. Navdeep is a clear leader and she will have to prove herself credible over the coming weeks to Lord Sugar and show decisiveness under his assistants’ Nick Hewer and Karen Brady’s watchful eyes.

With everyone tuning into BBC 1 on Thursday 8th and waving their flags in support for Navdeep… as the pressure piles, we will all be waiting with baited breath to see our local inspiration shine nationally.
