CARE home workers have been awarded for going beyond the call of duty.
The staff at Honey Lane Care Home in Waltham Abbey, received awards at the ceremony organised by care home company Carebase.
Deputy manager Jacky Fitzpatrick was given the gong at the Heart of Gold Awards for her commitment and compassion.
Dawn Sharp of Carebase said: “Jacky’s commitment to the home and the residents is outstanding; she is regularly to be found coming into work at night having been called by the night shift.”
Jackie Berritt, activities co-ordinator at the home, was also awarded at the ceremony for her work finding stimulating activities for residents.
