TWO authors who co-wrote a book about how the First World War transformed the English language signed copies of their work on Remembrance weekend.
Local authors Peter Doyle and Julian Walker signed copies of 'Trench Talk' at the Village Bookshop in High Road, Woodford Green on Saturday.
The book explores how words used as slang and standard military use entered the English language as a result of the First World War.
