Car pulled from ditch in accident blackspot
A CAR had to be dragged from a ditch on a notorious stretch of road.
The Citroen was pulled from the ditch close to a speed camera on the side of Thornwood High Road this morning.
Motorcyclist Sascha Brand, 28, was killed when his Honda collided with a taxi in the High Road in January last year.
His death led to calls for a reduction in the 40mph speed limit to create a 30mph zone.
Essex County Council’s official collision-mapping website TraffWeb shows five minor and two serious incidents on the road between The Plain, Epping, and the A414 since November last year.
