A KEEN young cook is through to the next round of a national competition.
Adam Ahmed, a Year 8 pupil at Roding Valley High School in Loughton, will compete in the regional heat of the Future Chef competition after cooking Philadelphia chicken wraps during a challenge at the school.
Paula Goosen, the school’s cooking and technology teacher, said: “I was very impressed with the quality of cooking on offer and the choice of dishes.
“The standard was exceptionally high and congratulations go to all seven of the students, who this year were all boys, who took part.”
