A FIRST step into the world of work was secured for students as their high school hosted a business breakfast.
Delegates from more than 60 firms and organisations attended the event at West Hatch High School in the High Road, Chigwell.
Sara Gabriel, is careers and enterprise co-ordinator at the specialist business and enterprise school.
She said: “The event used social media to advertise and organise the registration of the delegates.
“The aim, alongside the necessary networking, was to ask for specific help from the attendees with regard to work experience, coaching and mentoring for the school’s students.”
Organisers are now planning a follow-up event and anyone who would like to be involved should email sgabriel@westhatch.essex.sch.uk or call 020 8504 9549.
