A POPULAR festival of light will blaze a trail through a town centre next week.
The Cavalcade of Light will return to Waltham Abbey on Friday November 30.
The event will begin with the Christmas light switch-on at the Town Hall, in Highbridge Street, at 7.15pm.
This will be followed by a costumed parade, led by Santa Claus himself, from Cornmill car park, through Market Square, down Sun Street to Darby Drive car park.
A prize will be given to the best dressed group or business taking part in the parade.
There will also be a fun fair and shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants will be open.

Anyone interested in taking part can call Sarah Colley at the Town Hall on 01992 714949.
