PLANS to make Olympic lamppost banners permanent fixtures in high streets across the borough will dicussed by a panel of conservation area advisers.

Redbridge Council has applied for permission to use 204 banners in the borough to advertise their services, with 40 of those banners in Wanstead High Street.

Eleven households in Wanstead have objected to the application with concerns they will clutter up the high street and will be a propaganda tool for the council.

The Conservation Advisory Panel will meet on November 28 to discuss the application.
