A NEW care home for adults with learning disabilities has opened in South Woodford.
Apasenth Lodge in Hermon Hill will provide full-time residential and respite care for adults aged between 18-65.
The home, which was formally a care home for the elderly, has undergone a two year refurbishment costing £200,000.
It was officially opened last week by Elaine Norman, the deputy mayor of Redbridge and Mahmud Hasan MBE, who is one of the home’s directors.
Apasenth Lodge has beds for 10 people which manager Habibur Rahman Kabir said he expected to be full by Christmas.
